Q. How do I sell flowers for my fundraiser? A.
First select items from our currently available floral collection, and then
begin advertising your cause and the floral bouquet you’ve selected. When you’ve
collected your customer’s orders and payments it’s time to send your order and
payment to us. Then, accept delivery at a central location and distribute the
flowers to your customers.
Q. How do they ship? A. Your location
determines the method of shipping. Most orders are shipped overnight with an
express delivery service. Each shipment is carefully choreographed to ensure
prompt fresh delivery. The cost of shipping inside the continental United States
is included in the listed price.
Q. What do I have to do once I receive your
flowers? A. Your bouquets will arrive prearranged in
protective sleeves. In most cases you will need to cut the ends of the bouquets
and place them in water so that they remain in their freshest possible
condition. Our Flower Processing
Kit is included with your order
at no extra charge and includes cutters, convenient water buckets to place your
bouquets into and detailed instructions.
Q. How much money will my group raise? A. Our
fundraising groups typically earn a profit of about $80 for every case sold.
Most cases hold 20 bouquets.
Q. How much should I sell the flowers for? A.
We recommend a 33% - 55% profit margin to maximize your sales, but your group
determines the final selling price. (The 33%-55% profit margin is already
calculated for you in the “suggested donation amount” on the flower selection
pages.) This percentage gives you a selling price that is competitive with
flower bouquets found in retail stores. Dealing with Livia's Helping Hand gives
your organization the purchasing power of the big retail chains!
Q. How much can we make? A. The more you sell
the more you earn! The idea of fundraising with flowers is new and unique so you
can earn as much as your team desires. Most groups earn at least a 33% - 55%
profit margin.
Q. How long will my flowers last? A. Because
the flowers are coming directly from the farm, you will be amazed at the quality
of the bouquets. If you follow our care and handling instructions, you can
expect a minimum of 7 days of freshness and beauty adorning your vases.
Q. How far in advance do I need to order? A. We
can process orders up to 10 days prior to delivery; however we recommend placing
your initial order 3 weeks prior to delivery and making additions to the order
thereafter.
Q. Do you only sell to fundraising organizations?
A. Our primary focus is on fundraising groups. At Livia’s we
believe that placing our efforts behind helping others contributes to the
betterment of society.
Q. Do I collect orders in advance or just sell them from a booth
or a table? A. Some organizations find that having flowers
readily available during a special event or fair will produce impulse purchases.
Most organizations, however, pre-sell the flowers and then add bunches to their
orders to cover new customers who will want to purchase the flowers on impulse
when they see how beautiful the arrangements are.
Q. Are the flowers already arranged? A. Yes!
The creative work is done on our end. We work with the growers picking the
premium flowers from the field and creatively arranging them individually by
hand for your bouquets. Upon receiving the bouquets you just cut the bottom of
the stems and place them in water using your Flower Processing
Kit.
Q. How does it work? A. We sell the flowers to
your group at discounted wholesale prices and then your group sells them for a
profit. We provide you with custom designed flyers and order sheets specifically
designed for your group. We will send a few copies of the forms for you to
reproduce at your will.
Q. Would people buy flowers? A. Yes they do!
Billions of dollars are raised each year for fund raising organizations. Out of
that, millions of dollars are raised with plant and flower sales each year. Is
your group taking advantage of the newest craze? Be the first in your area! Use
the best… Livia's Helping Hand, Inc.!
Q. How much effort does my group need to apply to sell these
flowers? A. The amount of effort required is similar to other
fundraising products. Our product, due to its perishable nature, requires prompt
attention upon arrival. This can be a benefit. Because the arrangements are
immediately distributed to your group, the overall timeframe of your fundraiser
is greatly reduced. Depending on the type of fundraisers you usually use, you
may find yourself saying things like our client, Wayne Stump of the YMCA, "The
flower fundraiser we did with you produced the same profit for us as another
program we use. Yours did it in half the time and with at least half the
effort!" The creative and logistical work is done on our end. We work with the
growers, pick the premium flowers in the field and creatively arrange them by
hand for your bouquets. Upon receiving the bouquets you trim the bottom of the
stems and place them in water.
Q. Do the flowers come in water? A. Dry Pack
shipping means flowers are shipped to your location without extra water. Before
leaving the farm these flowers receive a special multivitamin drink solution
treatment, which enables them to successfully make the trip to your location
without extra water. By choosing to receive your flowers in a Dry Pack, you reap
the benefits of lower shipping costs in addition to overnight delivery. This
type of shipping is common and used with literally hundreds of thousands of
flowers every year by professionals. You aren’t trading quality for savings. You
will experience tremendous vase life with your flowers and receive the cost
benefits of Dry Pack. Upon receipt of the flowers simply follow the easy
instructions in your Flower Processing
Kit.
Q. When should I schedule my flowers to arrive? A. As the flowers hydrate, they will open and expose their stunning beauty.
Remember, because these flowers are coming directly from the farms they are so
fresh that some of the blooms need time to fully open. We recommend receiving
the flowers 24 hours prior to your scheduled distribution date. You and your
customers will be amazed at the vase life of your flowers. Enjoy!
Q. Aren’t flowers only for women? A. No,
scientific tests have been done on the positive psychological effects that
flowers and fragrances have on people. See the Rutgers
University study. Everyone can benefit from the mood lift flowers
offer.
Q. Aren’t flowers just for Valentine’s Day, and Mother’s
Day? A. Not anymore! Actually flowers are more plentiful and
less costly at other times of the year. We offer numerous programs with bouquets
that can be offered throughout the year when flowers are more economical. Your
group will stand out when you offer beautiful bouquets at a time when flowers
are not typically expected. Also, your customer base grows when you are not
restricting sales to only people with lovers, i.e., Valentine’s Day. Mothers
deserve to be appreciated all year, not just on Mother’s Day. Open your
possibilities and choose one of our programs that will allow everyone you
contact to say, “Yes, I know who would love some flowers!” Millions of dollars
are earned by fundraising organizations each year. You are selling happiness by
offering flowers in exchange for a donation. Don’t restrict yourself to only
Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
